Cap No. 300 is a malleable cast iron fitting according to EN 10242. It has a ¾ inch (26.9 mm) internal thread and is used for securely sealing open pipe ends. It weighs approximately 0.10 kg. Surface: black malleable cast iron, untreated.

Besides its classic use in pipe systems, the cap is used in furniture making and DIY projects, for example as a decorative finish in open pipe racks, shelving systems, or clothes rail constructions. It can also be used to clamp shelves.
